American dramatic baritone, Joseph Gansert, is quickly making his mark on the opera stage, known for his commanding presence and a large, expressive voice that audiences consistently describe as
both effortless and powerful. An alumnus of SUNY Purchase, he continues to refine his artistry under the guidance of voice teacher Braeden Harris and coach Susan Morton.
His powerful interpretations include the tyrannical Scarpia in Tosca (Regina Opera, 2024; New Rochelle Opera, 2022) and the complex title role in Rigoletto (Regina Opera, 2023).
Other significant portrayals feature Michele in Il Tabarro, Giorgio Germont in La Traviata, and Alfio in Cavalleria Rusticana. Beyond
opera, Joseph was also featured as the Baritone Soloist for Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 at Divaldo J.K. Tyla Plzni in 2022, showcasing his versatile dramatic range.
